What areas does Maddox Home Health Care Services cover?
Maddox Home Health Care Services operates throughout Alabama and Georgia, with a primary focus on Dothan, AL and Blakely, GA. Additional service areas include Ashford, AL; Enterprise, AL; Geneva, AL; Ozark, AL; Bainbridge, GA; Donalsonville, GA; and Fort Gaines, GA. The service area is strictly limited to Alabama and Georgia at this time.Does insurance cover the cost of care, and how much does a visit cost?
Yes, Maddox Home Health Care Services accepts several major insurance carriers, including Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicaid, and Medicare. A credentialing agency is used to facilitate insurance payments. For patients paying out of pocket or for services not covered by insurance, visits start at approximately $50. Care plans and pricing are discussed on a case-by-case basis to find an arrangement that works for each family. Is the daily prayer a requirement for receiving care?
Not at all. The daily Christian prayer offered at the start of each visit is entirely optional and always patient-led. It is an open invitation for those who find comfort and strength in faith, not a condition of receiving care. Maddox Home Health Care Services welcomes patients of all backgrounds, and the prayer component is simply one part of the ministry-based approach that many patients appreciate. What qualifications does the caregiver have to handle complex medical needs like wound care?
All care plans are personally overseen by Sheena Pittman, BSN, RN, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Registered Nurse credentials. She has 16 years of nursing experience across long-term care and acute hospital settings, including time at Southeast Health. She maintains active ACLS and BLS certifications and has specialized expertise in wound vac management, IV medication assistance, and post-surgical wound care for conditions including amputations and back surgeries. Can Maddox provide care on days when my current home health agency does not visit?
Yes, and this is one of the most important services Maddox offers. Many traditional home health agencies visit only three days per week, leaving patients without clinical oversight on the remaining days. Maddox Home Health Care Services is available to fill those off-days, providing continuity of BSN/RN-led care throughout the entire week. This helps prevent complications, supports medication compliance, and ensures patients are never left without a qualified professional checking in on their recovery. What kinds of daily living tasks can the team help with?
The team assists with a wide range of daily living needs, including bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and mobility transfers such as moving between a bed and toilet. Household support includes light housekeeping tasks like laundry, sweeping, mopping, dishes, and dusting. The team also prepares meals suited to diabetic and hypertension-appropriate diets and can run errands such as grocery shopping. Because the caregiver is an RN, these everyday interactions also provide an opportunity to monitor for subtle clinical changes that might otherwise go unnoticed. How does Maddox support family caregivers who are feeling overwhelmed?
Maddox Home Health Care Services offers respite care specifically for family members who need a break from the demands of caregiving. This service provides a qualified, compassionate professional to step in and care for your loved one while you rest, attend to other responsibilities, or simply take time for yourself. The team also provides comfort-focused support for patients in end-of-life transition, helping families navigate that season with both clinical expertise and heartfelt compassion. How do I know my loved one will be safe and treated with respect?
Safety and trust are at the center of everything Maddox Home Health Care Services does. The practice is HIPAA certified, ensuring all patient information is handled with strict confidentiality. All care is overseen by a BSN/RN with 16 years of experience and active clinical certifications. Beyond credentials, the ministry-based philosophy of the practice means every patient is treated as a whole person deserving of dignity, genuine connection, and compassionate attention. The goal of every visit is for patients to feel loved, secure, and cared for.
